When should I get in touch for breastfeeding support?
Ideally during pregnancy – especially if you want a confident start to breastfeeding or if there are special circumstances.
Of course, I am also there for you after the birth if any questions or uncertainties arise.
Are the costs covered by health insurance?
Yes. As an IBCLC with a ZSR number, three breastfeeding consultations are covered by basic insurance.
Further consultations can be billed with a doctor's prescription.
Do you offer home visits?
Yes. I support families at home in the cantons of Lucerne, Zug, and Schwyz.
Consultations are also available at my practice in Küssnacht am Rigi upon request.
How can I tell if there might be a tongue tie?
Signs can include pain during breastfeeding, frequently slipping off the breast, or restless drinking behavior.
If you're unsure, we can take a closer look together.
When does a breast pump make sense?
A breast pump can be useful in cases of premature birth, building up milk supply, sore nipples, or temporary separation of mother and child.
I will advise you individually and support you with its use.
How does a consultation work?
We discuss your situation, observe a breastfeeding session (if possible), and develop practical steps together for your daily life.
It is important to me that you feel confident and empowered.
What if breastfeeding remains difficult despite support?
Sometimes it takes several steps or interdisciplinary cooperation.
I will support you transparently and help you find a solution that works for you.
How quickly can I get an appointment?
Questions can arise very suddenly, especially in the early days after birth.
I strive to offer timely appointments for home visits or consultations in my practice.
